I’m a huge fan of what the homies have going on in Philly. I was impressed by and wrote about CHAMPS‘s last two drops—“Pink Floyd” and “Karma”—and today he’s back with another heat rock, “R.I.P. Bill Cosby.”
He and producer (also, video director and editor) SKetcho are a rare pairing by any definition, and the two are churning out absolute fire in a fresh way, and with alarming consistency. “R.I.P. Bill Cosby” follows a similar formula as the pair’s past couple releases—slick-tongued rhymes, nostalgic visuals, rock-inspired production featuring live instrumentation; once again, it’s hard to imagine anyone finding something to dislike about this.
I’ll run this back a few times today and be anxiously awaiting whatever’s next. Watch above, and stay tuned for more.
