Love this new joint from Millyz and Dave East. I’ve been talking about East a good amount lately. New York rap hasn’t produced a whole lot I’ve been fond of over the course of the past few years, but the Harlem native’s tenacity and consistency have both become pretty undeniable as of late. He’s got lyrical prowess coupled with a distinct street edge, and he sounds right at home here over the dually dreaming, hard-hitting production.
Millyz is one of Boston’s top dogs—in a class with names like Michael Christmas, Cousin Stizz and Gio Dee—and he leads this one off with an expectedly raw verse. His punchy flow sets the tone of the record, and he shines equally as bright as East in his own way.
