Taking a break from his Leather Corduroys-related duties, Purp releases a new set of visuals for last year’s “Don’t Stop,” one of his best lyrical exercises to date. The Savemoney spitter rarely wastes a bar, and that rings true here too, as he spends a good portion of the track touching poignantly on the violence that’s been famously sweeping his home city of Chicago.
The Thelovism-directed video finds Purp preaching from a church pulpit, trying desperately to capture the audience’s attention as he sheds light on the truths that some choose to turn their heads from. It’s dark and moody – like the song itself – and laced with B-roll of barren Chicago streets.
Watch above, and stay tuned for more. Hopefully there’s more where this came from on the horizon.
