Hurt Everybody is a Chicago trio that flew onto radars seemingly out of nowhere earlier this year and has gained a significant amount of momentum in a short period of time off the strength of a barrage of free releases on Soundcloud.
The latest, which surfaced earlier this evening, is called “Golden” and features Alex Wiley. Produced by Hurt Everybody’s Supa Bwe, the joint is an eerie banger fueled by a smoky instrumental and a well-executed, spacey hook from Carl. Wiley’s guest verse is expectedly tight, and the group even laced the track with a visual (watch here) that isn’t all their own, but somehow works perfectly.
Stream “Golden” below, and stay tuned for more. Wiley’s Village Party is expected to drop in the next month or so, and Hurt Everybody releases more new music than I can even keep up with. And it’s always good.
