Isaiah Rashad continues to impress with his fourth offering under Top Dawg Entertainment. The 22-year-old from Chattanooga, Tennessee burst on the scene with a strong appearance in the TDE Cypher during last year’s BET awards, just a couple weeks after he was announced as the label’s newest signee – a surprise to most as Isaiah was an artist who at that point was still very unknown, yet he possessed a raw, lyrical talent that caught the ears of TDE executives and early listeners.
Yesterday he released “RIP Kevin Miller”, a song produced by Black Metaphor that is meant to pay tribute to Master P’s fallen brother. Rumors are that Isaiah Rashad’s upcoming EP, titled Cilvia, will be deeply rooted in a Southern sound. Expect that EP to be released within the first half of 2014.
