[VIDEO]: Kevin Abstract – PJs

I’m not sure I really like this song. I’m not sure I really like the video either. Somehow, though, I love both.

In “PJs,” Kevin Abstract doesn’t really look or sound particularly comfortable, but as it turns out, that’s exactly why everything works so well. It’s an honest, no-holds-barred product (with an absurd Terio sample around the 3-minute mark), and Kevin embraces his awkward tendencies and trippiness with open arms. The hook is unique and memorable, and the free-form movement in the video is undeniably engaging, if not somewhat endearing.

The Kevin Abstract EP, released in its entirety a couple months back, can be found below. Included in the five tracks – all produced by HoraceTheGiant – is “PJs.” Watch the video at the top of the page, and stay tuned for more.
