Alex Wiley’s first ever solo rap song has finally arrived. The 18-year-old firespitter from Chicago has made a name for himself primarily as one half of The Village, a duo comprised of he and fellow Chi-Town rapper Kembe X (see HERE), but he proves here that he’s more than capable of mixing it up.
“High Life,” produced by Stefan Ponce, is a dope, feel good track that highlights Wiley’s absurd flow as well as his unrivaled “Rapsangin'” ability.
For a first solo effort, this is impressive. It’s one thing to be able to rip a hot 16, but Alex Wiley proves with “High Life” that he has the ability to put together a great entire track as well. It’s creative and catchy, and it’s definitely got me wanting more.
