Since the day ScHoolBoy Q’s Habits & Contradictions released this past January, I had been dying to see Q live. HnC was immediately my favorite project of the year (it still is), and I simply could not wait til I got the chance to see tracks like “Sacrilegious,” “Nightmare on Figg St” and “Blessed” performed in front of my eyes.
When I saw that Leedz Edutainment was bringing both he and Ab-Soul to Boston on April 25th as part of The Groovy Tour, it wasn’t two minutes later that I had purchased a ticket. As it turns out, I didn’t even need one.
Long story short, the unstoppable team of The Fresh Heir and Decriminals joined forces once again and got backstage access at Laced for the in-store meet-and-greet with ScHoolBoy Q prior to the show, and at the Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge for the concert later that night. Getting the chance to chill with two of our favorite artists was an incredible experience, and we can’t thank Top Dawg Ent. enough for the opportunity. In case you don’t already know, no one is doing it better than TDE/Black Hippy, so please get familiar if you aren’t already.
In this post you’ll find the promo video (above) giving you a taste of what went down at both the in-store event and the concert, and a couple of personal shoutouts from Q and the Black-Lipped Bastard below. If you’re thinking that’s the extent of the TFH x Decriminals exclusive footage, though… you’re in for a pleasant surprise.
Enjoy the sneak peek, and stay tuned for more including live set videos from both ScHoolBoy and Ab-Soul.

Special thanks to Laced Boston, Leedz Edutainment and TDE for making all the day’s events possible.
